Jigmatch, developed by Metajoy, is a hybrid puzzle game that combines card-matching mechanics, solitaire layouts, and classic jigsaw reconstruction. Unlike traditional jigsaw puzzles that use interlocking cardboard shapes, Jigmatch uses rectangular "photo cards" that players arrange on a virtual grid to assemble high-definition images. The game aims to stimulate spatial reasoning and logical deduction while maintaining a relaxed, timer-free atmosphere.

The game's mechanics rely on custom touch gestures. Players swipe to move scattered cards across the screen; when two adjacent cards are correctly matched, they snap together and lock. Once connected, these grouped cards can be moved as a single unit, allowing players to build and organize larger puzzle sections. However, the game introduces a specific constraint: if a card is placed incorrectly over an unmatched neighbor, it can shrink or overlap other pieces, penalizing poor spatial planning and forcing players to think ahead.

As players advance, the difficulty scale increases by enlarging the grid size and adding more complex visual patterns. Jigmatch also features "Daily Challenges," which offer significantly harder puzzles designed to test advanced problem-solving skills. The game supports offline play, making it accessible without a network connection.

However, the user experience is frequently interrupted by the game's monetization model. Non-paying players face a high density of video advertisements that trigger before, during, and after levels. Additionally, bugs in the daily puzzle archives can lock players into continuous, unskippable ad loops that disrupt gameplay and make the archive difficult to play.
